I have been very lucky with the surgery. if you ring at 8.15am or 3pm you are likely to be seen the same day by the gp.

This practice is always supportive and friendly. You may have to wait for an appointment, but if you are really worried or it is really urgent, they will make every effort to see you quickly. I feel like a person at this surgery -not just a symptom or a number. I also feel listened to and that my views are taken into account. All the staff - doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and reception/office staff are friendly and helpful.

My routine appointments are booked in advance online through EMIS. My Repeat Prescriptions are ordered online through EMIS and sent electronically to my pharmacy. I can get an emergency appointment if necessary, but I may have to wait for 2 to 5 days depending on the GP I wish to see. Nurse appointments including blood samples may take up to two weeks. Some people seem to be in the waiting room a long time but I am normally seen within ten minutes of the appointment time. Overall the service from Reception and GPs is very acceptable and I do feel involved in making choices for treatment and referrals. There is an embryo face-to-face Patient Participation Group, so we can now take part in making improvements to our local health care.
